An Unexpected Gathering

This is Bag End, it is our second Lego Hobbit set. When I looked at the box, the set looked like it was a small set for the 652 piece count. But I was wrong. When we got it done it was much larger than I had expected.

Out side there are some flowers, a bench, carrots, apples, a small garden, and one of my favorite things about this set on the door (you probably can't see it) but the rune that Gandalf placed on the door is on the door. I really liked that Lego thought of this small detail and placed it on the door.
It came with Six mini-figures, Bilbo Baggins, Bombur, Balin, Dwalin, Bofur, and Gandalf the Grey.
It came with three maps, two platters, bread, cherries, a hot dog, wine glasses, wine bottles, knives, pots, pans, a broom, a chest, some pantry items, sting, some quill pens, Bilbo Baggins book, a letter, a shovel, a pick, and of course chicken.
Here is the book and the quill pen. (below) The pantry and chest.
Thanks for reading!

The Bat

This is the bat we rescued out of our swimming pool on July,11. I found him at 7:30 am. Then I picked him up with our pool net and set him on the deck. It was about 3:00 pm when he was completely dry. We then took him off the deck and put him under a tree so he would not get too hot.

He liked to stretch his wings. While he was in the shade he put his wing over his head and went to sleep.

It was about 10:00 pm when we went to check on him and he was gone! We are glad he lived.

Revolutionary Battle

This is a mini-model of a Revolutionary War battle. For figs we have 12 British Redcoats, one American cannon, one American cannoneer, one American militiaman, and last but definitely not least, George Washington.

AT-RT

This is a vintage Lego set. It is one of our first Lego's. I wanted to rebuild it so I could blog it. I started to find the pieces and build it at the same time. Some of the pieces we couldn't find so we had to buy them off a Lego piece store called Pick-a-Brick.

These are the instructions they are in a so-so condition the back cover is gone, some pages are loose and there is a lot of rips on the cover! But the good thing is that some of the pages are in good condition and that it is still together!! It is awesome even though it is in a so-so condition.

This is the guy that came with the set he is really awesome! The helmet that came with him is awesome!
The helmet is awesome because it is the first of those kind that we have got.
